Deputy Editor-in-Chief
Growth
I was promoted to Deputy Editor-in-Chief at VAVEL UK with a clear objective to boost output on the site.
Content in my first four months in the role rose by 213 per cent, a growth which has sustained in the months since as we build up towards our 2026 World Cup coverage.
This was achieved through clear organisation, a streamlining of processes, and better rewarding our writers and editors for great work, to keep morale consistently high.
While we were pleased with our results, there was also a conscious effort to improve the quality of our content hand in hand with the quantity. Through an improved style guide, better direction and a shift in focus, I have been delighted by the positive reaction that this readjustment has received, both from our readers and writers.
Arsenal Editor
In July 2024, I was appointed as VAVEL UK’s Arsenal Editor, following my involvement in the Euro 2024 Editorial team. Having written for VAVEL for more than a year prior to this, it was a real honour to be given such a role.

Since taking the reins of the Arsenal office at VAVEL, average monthly articles increased by 192 per cent compared to the eight months before I took on the role – a growth which I am proud to have overseen.
The role saw me lead recruitment for the Arsenal office, as well as leading content organisation and idea generation, while also continuing to write articles myself.
In the field
My time with VAVEL UK has seen me travel the country and Europe, covering matches and press conferences in some of the world’s biggest competitions.
